December20
I’m packing, and studying, I have just a few thngs left to do, and then I leave, to move
back in with my parents until I finally get my own apartment. Tommorrow I have my last
2 finals of college. Woo! It doesn’t feel much different than the end of any other semester,
except, of course the strange absence of thoughts about my classes next semester.
I finally did get that job with www.sonicfoundry.com(woo!) I’ll be
working with Engineering on their Intranet, and maybe even get to work on some UI stuff. But I’ll
be home, I’ll be near Carlo, and Heidi, and Wendy. So, now I need to get back to
studying, and packing, but I’m going to be updating more often, now that I’m done with school, and now I think that I can get my webcam up and running too. A redesign perhaps, lotsa fun
stuff.
Also, thanks to Emory and

December13

It happened, I have proof, lying about my room are the vestment, a tassle colored ‘drab’, a black square cap and black gown. A program with my name and major printed theirin, and several cards and gifts from lovely people who came to my party.
Graduation, a most magical surreal time of chaos and excitment, and tears. Tradionally garbed graduees made their way down to the track in our field house. There, after much milling about we lined up alphabetically in our respective colleges(our university has three).
I was very nervous, chatting with others in line, trying to ascertain the reasoning behind
the faculty and staff strange traditional garb(some of them looked like
they were wearing
anime battle armor.)
It was exciting, and amazing, and over fairly quickly(December graduations
are much short, mine was only an hour and a half).
So many people could care less about graduation, but for me it was a magically suffiecient ending not to my 3.5 years of college education. My family was there, as was Carlo and Josh(the best grad gift! Carlo brought him and I hadn’t seen Josh in
months!).
I got to sit right behind one of my housemates(ACE) during the ceremony, I kept craning
my neck around to see my family and Carlo in the stands. (he kept grinning and waving to me, heh)
My parents cried, I tried not to.
And then I had my grad party, and lots of people actually came. My mom bought a cake with
the university seal, and brought lotsa food for everyone. It was really really nice. Becky
bought me a cute ornament with a mouse ‘net surfing’ on a computer mouse, and Wendy bought
me my first DVD!(lain:navi). The dvd will be great with the new computer my ‘rents are
helping me buy(as their grad gift!)
