Cinco de Mayo

May5

Heh, it’s nice to be missed, though I haven’t gone anywhere, just been very here. So props to Pong and Jim for noticing I hadn’t updated in a bit, and, of course, telling me i needed to updated. :)

Its been a while since I totally missed a whole month of writing, but what a diffence a month makes.

Work is much better. How can I emphasis that word mmmmmuuuuccccchhh better.

I’m not sure exactly when I got put on this cool new project, though I think it was after that depressing entry on work stuff. I was at a point where I was clawing for more work. They really didn’t know what to do with me in the engineering department. But it’s better now. I have my own office cubicle, now decorated with most of my anime posters, and I’m working with two really cool guys in canada (we bought their company this year). We are making some really cool examples of how you can use our products and streaming media. I feel productive, and well placed, and its good. And the people we report to for this project really seem to like the direction we are heading in. All very good things!

And I’m happy. Very happy, more than I can remember being in college at all. Most consistantly pleasant. Its nice to have time to read books again, and draw and start learning more geeky stuff like mysql and php.(Hope to have quixotic tales up and running under magical quixotic power in the next few months). I paid off my car, yah! and things are starting to come together in my apartment. Feel free to email me with and decorating ideas.

Lots of good things are happening. Wendy is getting married next weekend. Who would have thought the woman who seemed most against marriage and love in general would be racing to tie the knot. She and Drew are going to be going to Europe for 6 months (or so) two weeks after they get hitched. We’re all going to miss them, but are really excited for them too.

The girls had the bridal shower and we went to olive garden and went dancing, and generally had an extremly cool time, I have pictures but it might be a while before I get them developed.

Graduation in Platteville is this weekend, I’ll be there for at least saturday to congratulate and hang with those about to step into ‘da real world’ yah, right. ;) It’s odd to think that this weekend was supposed to hold my graduation day. I do not regret graduating one iota. woo. It’s really odd to be away from school, I read about what they are going through, get an email everyso often, but there is so less stress and it hardly seems real. Amazingly less stress.

So, life is good, lots of good things coming up, Heidi is moving into my subdivision, and Rob is coming to intern here at Sonic and this summer is going to be incredible. I can tell!

Quixotically yours,

Stacie

Oh, a few other notes:

The Galleries of the Absurd have been updated three times
this year, something in there has to be amusing.

Um, well I thought I had some other things to say… guess not, have a great weekend! TGIF
