Chipmunk Cheeked
Ok, this is really today’s entry, not a not an archived version, but a brand new fresh piece of questing, just for you.
I have spent most of this weekend here in bed. Here being, of course relative, my old bedroom at my parents house. I had my wisdom teeth out on friday morning and have spent the weekend with ice packs on my cheeks, eating jello, and cake, and pudding and cheesy potatoes with bits of hotdogs stirred in.
Overall the pain hasn’t been to bad, today it’s a bit worse, but the doctor warned me that today my cheeks would be their puffiest, so I just suck it up and take more ibuprophens and pain relievers.
As sad as it seems, one of my goals for this weekend was to work on quixotica, and getting the database and the php working to make this one big smooth painless process. Yah! Rob has been excellent help, many many thanks go his way.
And it’s been awful nice to be able to use my Dad’s old laptop. I seriously need to get myself a nice laptop, talk about ultimate comfort. It’s wonderful to be able to write this entry with my head gingerly propped up on some pillows, with my dog, Josie, curled up by the foot of my bed, and my own feet hanging off the edge.
And it is true geek girl bliss, this database stuff. Which, excitedly, I’ll be learning more of at work, yah! In my new office, yah! in a new department, yah! (ok new for me anyway, with some really great coworkers, yah!) is that too many yah!’s?
Ok, well coherance is kinda sliding off the plate here, does that make any sense? Blame the pain pill.
I just want the record to show that I’m happy, and whilst in some pain, there are many great things on the horizon for me, all of them containing less pain than this.
Compared to knee surgery, this really is nothing. It’s just a pity that laughing and smiling hurt so much today. Tom Greene almose killed me, after lunch today, and I’m happy to report that all my smiling muscles seem to be ship shape, after testing them on a sneak preview of Space Cowbows tonight.(thanks to the parents for getting me out of the house)
Well, sleep is calling, can’t wait to see you all tommorrow, have a great week!
Stacie
