August Already?

August9

Wow, I sure have no idea how in the world August got here so fast. Graduation still seems very close, just a few weeks ago. and now it’s August?

Last year at this time, I was racing around a bit like Pong(We’ll miss you!), leaving my internship, racing off to ChicagoHellyeahParty, getting moved into my Dan’s house with Ace and Jess. I was so psyched about my 21st birthday. I really didn’t drink too much then, but had a great time, and my housemates, filled my room with balloons

Craziness, I guess I’ve been feeling a bit of that back to school fever, the changes of autumn forethoughts are starting to spin in my head. Sure, it’s hot and humid today, but nearer to my birthday(24th) it will be surprisingly cool.(I know, we once tried to have my birthday be a pool party when I was in 4th grade or so, brr)

We(Carlo, Tony, Jon) went to the Ren Faire on sunday. It was, again, an amazement of color and sound and tastes. I recieved a few compliments on my bodice! Way cool. Carlo got his handwriting analyzed, which was very interesting, though it seemed pretty private.

At one point we sat down on a stone wall to have some lemon and orange sorbets(served in lemons and oranges), and suddenly found ourselves surrounded by a bit of the show that goes on all day. There was a lady with letters, and soldiers trying to wrest them from her, and when they finally got them there was a fight, that ranged from in front of us to behind us! We had the best seats in the house, it was very impressive. The coolest thing was, we had no clue when the shows were, we were just relaxing, and the show came to us.

I regretably missed seeing Sir Clisto this time, but did manage to check in with the sword shop which was fun.

My brother is going of to college for the first time next week. I can hardly believe it. College was something that happened to me, not him, heh. I just hope he has a good of a time as I did at Platteville.

So happy too, I found my necklace which I was soo afraid I had misplaced for good.

Enjoy the end of summer, folks,

Stacie
