Fez-ti-val

October26

Heh, I got an official PVP Fez Yah for Fez! It gives me L33T gaming power. You may not believe me, but It has amazing, magical properties. I think I’ll wear it to work tommorrow, woo.

A friend of ours brought over his shiny new PS2, and we got to play it. Um, yeah… It’s really not the cat’s meow. Perhaps some better games… Seriously folks, I can’t be blown out of the water like I was with the Dreamcast. Soul Caliber was so freaking amazing, so many leaps in technology from our old playstation. So beautiful. It was a BIG DEAL. And for those who have refused to try the lovely dreamcast, snubbed their noses at it, will find the PS2 easily blows the PSX outta the water.

But, thats to be expected. I can say these things now, I’ve gotten to play it. I’m not saying I won’t ever get one, or rent one, or play one. I’m not saying that the games coming eventually won’t be amazing. But… Man, There is some great stuff coming out this month and all the way till Christmas on the DC. Shenmue, Jet Grind Radio, Phantasy Star Online. And The DC already has a modem(We’ve preordered the broadband adapter, that will be so sweet).

And, we’ve still have some great games left to beat, I’m not even halfway through Ecco(beautiful, and difficult), and I still need to unlock lotsa costumes in Dead or Alive 2 (LE:Japanese Import), and we have Quake 3 Arena for the DC too, and you can online game in seconds. It’s great, sheesh, I love video games. I can’t believe how much I do! It’d be cool if I could be payed to play them, make them, make art for them, something!

The halloween party was a sucess, once I get the pics developed/scanned, you’ll see some of the madness. We had a decent turnout, and … BRAIN jello (so yummy). It was a real good time. Frank and Kim and Jennifer and I played games(cards, sorry) on cam, I haven’t giggled that much in a long time. Wendy came as my favorite powerpuffgirl-buttercup, and there were a lot of other fun costumes. I think I’ll narrate more on the party when I get the pics in.

Ok, that’s enough for now, go have fun.

Autumn Fever

October20

I’ve been in knowledge transfer meetings all day. But I did manage to get out for a nice autumn walk in the middle of everything.
Some people get spring fever, I get fall fever. I just need to be out in this marvelous weather, with the wind in the leaves, and the leaves
carpeting the grounds. There is a really nice little park not too far from where I work, it’s about a block from a small beach on the lake. It has a big gazebo, a wooden and plastic playset, and some swings. I’ve been there with several coworkers at different times, it makes a nice break. It also has incredibly huge trees, which are resplendent with bronze and fire at the moment. The park has a little marker that says it used to be a graveyard (ooh spooky), but that the ‘residents’ were exhumed and reburied elsewhere. (the strange things that happen to pleasant places over time I suppose).

This is going to be a fun weekend, We’re having a Halloween party at our apartment tomorrow night. We have cleaning and cooking and decorating to do, as well as getting our costumes in shape. I’ll turn the cam on during the party, you might catch some of our ghosts, I mean guests haunting our office. And after, I’d like to post some party pics, I’ll keep ya posted.

We’re about 60% unpacked, hope to get up to 85% tonight with the cleaning bits. After things start to settle in, I might take some pictures, might be good time to update my bio too, eh?

I bet there are a lot of things I’ve been meaning to tell you, but today is Friday, and those notions seem to have faded away. Please feel free to email me with any questions or comments about, well anything, if you wish. ;) I’m going into this weekend with a great feeling. Hope you are too.

Dance of the New place

October9

We are mostly moved in now, it is very nice to have so much more space. It’ll be nice to have an office.

We had so many people help us move, and We are very very thankful. You guys rocked, a whole lot, and made this whole thing so painless.

The layout of the new place, is much like one of Carlo’s previous ones, so it’s easy to know where stuff goes, and it feels very comfortable already.

We made the funniest meal last night, we had basically no food, but we found some muffin mix that required no eggs, but we had no muffin pan. Heh. We used a small square pan and had, cinnamon apple muffin bars. Ok, a little odd, but much more successful than most of my cooking mishaps. And then we went rooting through our cupboard to see what else we could mix up. Aha! how about some chocolate pudding. heh. Well, it was all tasty at least. But very silly.

Trying to get the cable TV guys to set up cable in the office. So we can set up the cable modem in the office. (Apparently they are being a pain), but it’ll all get worked out somehow. The phone should be hooked up tonight at the new place, yah! We just have a bit of cleaning and a few dishes left at the old place, and then, all the moving out bits are done. We are both certain that we don’t want to move for at least a year this time. It’s tiring, more for him than me, but tiring, and all our poor friends are getting burnt out on helping us move our furniture.

But Oh! I can’t wait to decorate.

p.s. pong is awesome
