It snowed really bad yesterday, I got to work, and my supervisor had me turn around and come back home, good thing too, I got stuck halfway onto the main drag, and had to have some strangers push me out into traffic. I didn’t get a chance to thank them, too bad, because once I was sliding around out in traffic, stopping would have been a mistake. Still, I feel very blessed that people still help people around here. Note for all of you, Firebirds with semi-bald tires do not handle well on snow covered roads. It was really cold and windy, a wind-chill of -44 or something, brrrr.

This Ice-world is about as far away from the Spice world that you can think of. We watched Dune about 4 times last week. Sci-Fi.com was running their mini-series, which, though entertaining, was obviously running close to their budget. It was a bit confusing too, for me, who has never read the book, and hadn’t seen the movie for a long time(if ever completely through.) So, we rented Dune the movie on Wednesday. In my mind the movie made far more sense, had better direction, awesome casting (my goodness, Sting? Patrick Stewart?!!!) It was so good. In reference to the mini-series, I told Carlo, “I was sooo robbed.”


ahem… heh.
