Got the whole outfit all together before 5pm today! yah! Tomorrow is my first SCA event ever, I’m so excited, and a bit nervous, gotta get to sleep, I have to be up early tomorrow!!!

OOh, I got the vest close to done, well, I got the back piece sewn to the front piece, and I have the little shoulder epaulet thingys sewn on too, they look pretty keen. Mom helped me get one of the sleeves on the underdress. Today I might bop by early to cut out the skirt and get started on that. I have to run to the store for bias tape for the edges of the vest though. I’m so excited about Saturday, it’s in stougton, but it sounds like a lot of good food and fun! Nervous though, I’ve never made it to a SCA event, I’ve been involved a year, but never made it to ‘the good stuff’.

A bit chilling to hear a call for all Jews to return to Israel, I saw it on TV myself, but it’s hard to find mention of it in the news. The message itself was one for peace, but… wasn’t the return of the Jews to Israel supposed to be one of the prophecies of the end times?

I’ve been sewing like a madwoman for the SCA event this weekend, Over at mom’s at night, when she can help/supervise me. Man, do I need a lot of help. Still, I really enjoy costume sewing, and can’t wait to see this all come together. And it is! Practically all the pieces are cut out, we were lucky that Jan was over last night, she’s a good family friend that is a seamstress, and knew how we should alter the vest to fit, and how to take the darts out of the design.

My goal is mostly to have a passable SCA outfit that I can throw on, and be comfortable in. I think it’s going to be cute too. Plus, the excitement of having something I made!

Still I think I’m going awful slow, hopefully in the future I’ll be a bit faster at it. Happy to finally be using the sewing machine my mom gave me for Christmas a couple years ago, I just couldn’t get to it in the office. It runs like a dream, winds bobbins beautifully, and is just plain fun to use.

I can’t wait to get the outfit done though, I’m afraid I might miss drawing night with

Plus, I got to figure out some money stuff, talked to some creditors, and they’re all willing to help me out while I’m unemployed, moving some payments back and such. So much better to talk to them, and get credit stuff up to date, instead of ignoring them and allowing it all to go to pot.

I hate them calling, calling calling, there’s nothing we can do, we don’t have the money to pay them all, I hate being unemployed. I hate that no one is calling me back, I hate the fact we were almost totally paid up with everyone when I got laid off.

At least I have social time over at tonight, I really need it, I feel so down.

It’s raining really hard here, I’m at my husbands workplace, scanning in pics from our wedding last year, almost done. Just about 4 more passes if the computer holds up, those 82mb files really do a number on the ram.

Can’t wait for anime over at Ace and Jess’s place.

Ooh, i have to learn how to sew quick! Next weekend is an SCA event, and I need a passable attempt at clothes. hrm…

ddr music makes motivated

A sort of zen befell me while scanning wedding pics, it was a nice reminder of the wonderful time we had last year.

I found my checkbook, it had fallen inside my jeep, and now sits in a safer pocket in my purse.

I made it to both meetings I needed to.

The first meeting was full of hope, and interesting.

Happily made it to art night! very happily, though late. The tacos were yummy, and the company was outstanding, it’s soo much fun to do art in groups of people. Ace drew and talked math, worked on her Japan picture album, Kim did watercolors, Ray and Maciek worked wonders on their computers. So much fun, I can’t wait to do it again.

I have so much to scan, not just from tonight, artwise, enough for a real update, I believe.

More wedding scanning tomorrow though.

Still, a much better night than day, and things all got figured out.

Ugh, I’m having a hard day, I have a zillion wedding pics that have to be scanned in before tommorrow, I’m double booked for stuff tonight, had a tiff with Carlo, and I think I lost my checkbook at mcDonalds, but I can’t go check because I’m waiting at carlo’s work for him to come back, and I have to scan all this mess. I even called but the heavily accented manager on the other end says he’s too busy to go look. IT is, after all lunch time.

I’m so upset and frustrated, beyond belief. sigh
