I am wearing my new wig right now, and it soo rocks, it’s soo nice, great quality. yah!
Tartblossom
Those Tarts! Holy cow, Tartblossom.com sent me my wig from last year. wow!
Halloween
Let me tell you what is really scary! The box village in our basement.
Last night was the LAST NIGHT of moving, we were up past one in the morning but its all moved, it’s all done. And clean. Husband going over for a bit more vacuuming today, but today, at noon, we sever ties with the old apartment, Yahoo! My mother in law is amazing, spent her whole night finishing cleaning out our kitchen, while I scoured the bathrooms.
Now the terror is trying to make things semi-presentable for tomorrow night, our Haloween Party.
Holy cow. I’m tired.
People don’t really dress up for Halloween here at work. I’d have worn a wig or something, if I could have found anything this morning. I am wearing pumpkin earrings. Honestly, I’m so tired, I don’t know how much more I could have pulled together for today. Still, kinda sadlike about not having something fun to wear to work. Surprising lack of general candyness too, though that’s prolly best for me. There will be more than enough goodies tomorrow night.
Must get the brain ready for tomorrow.
~~~
I ordered my Xbox LIVE beta kit this morning before work, by next week, wheee, I’ll be online with mah Xbox! Here is my tracking number, if you want to play along!
Also, speaking of following along, I added several may and june entries from private hidden place back into Questing. Many of them dealt with interviews and such, so they weren’t posted here during that whole find a job process.
Seventh Column thinks our invite is neat!
“For those of you in a Halloween mood, here’s something completely terrifying: the invitation to Rampant Sorrow’s Haloween party. (Does that guy ever take his helmet off?) Team founder Shockwave invites those in the Madison, Wisconsin area to email her if they want to attend. Of course you want to. We ALL want to. A Haloween party! With costumes! If it wasn’t 2000 miles away, I’d be there. “
Working out the details for A Madison Nanowrimo Kickoff. More news about that soon. We’re leaning towards the Great Dane though.
I had suuuch a great day yesterday. Woke up happy and alert, got to work early, recieved good emails from many good friends, and tartblossom.com might actually send me the wig I ordered for halloween last year, crazy! And then of course, had a wonderful drawing class with Maciek, we learned an interesting perspective trick that had Maciek’s mathmetician brain on overload.
Also! NOVEMBER 1st!! HALOWEEN PARTY AT OUR NEW PLACE costumes encouraged, halloween fare, plus video games, and food, and drinks and fun! please come! email me for details.
Ooh, here’s a great Halloween link, you gotta check it out, and tell me what you think.
Song memory, “World before columbus”
long happy drives,
to chicago, milwauke, or out cruising in the countryside.
Coming around the corner of Angel Park, which has
midget races on sunday nights in summer,
red trans am, boyfriend only, years before fiancee, before husband.
Suzanne Vega on repeat in the cd player
Nine Objects of Desire.
Felt so much younger then,
by no means am I old and gray,
felt more invincible, less worried,
excited just to be out,
didn’t have to be going anywhere.
Happy to be.
Want to recapture that feeling of freedom.
I’m happy now, but oh so busy, perhaps I am fettered.
The song somehow reminds me of summer afternoons, T-tops off,
smell of summer air, company of my beloved, and the memory
of a college girl, still supported by her parents, food/housing/entertainment, mostly subsidized by others. Free.
Life and all that.
So, for those who are listening, I’ve added Questing entries from August 24th till now, something like 9 bonus entries to make up for my apparent lack of updatage.
Taking art courses 4 nights a week really hampers my free time. It’s a lot of work. Might be overdoing it a tad. Still I’m learning a lot. Love my drawing course, perplexed by my design course. I have a midterm next tuesday, in my drawing course, it’ll be a three hour drawing demonstrating all the things we’ve learned so far. This weekend I’ll be mostly playing catch up with my drawing homework, have a few to complete, as all 12 are due on tuesday before our midterm drawing.
While I draw, my Husband and ect, will continue moving the rest of our things from the apartment we lived two years in. I’m hoping we can get the majority out this weekend, but not holding my breath.
I love video games…
