Our 2nd Anniversary

Here we are again. Another year together. It’s strange and wonderful to be married. It’s a blessing to be married to you. Two whole years of marriage, and about 10 years of knowing you. Years of loving you.

Do you know that many of my first thoughts upon waking beside you are ‘ I love my husband’ . You slumber on, and I go about my morning routines. I am safe and secure in the love we share. Knowing you love me makes me strong. I love that feeling. I love the way you make me feel when I’m around you. I love to get caught up in the excitement you share over your interests. I love the sound of your happiness, the murmur of your voice before we slip into dreams each night.

I don’t believe I ever wanted anyone the way I still want you. Want to be with you, Long to be near you, my favorite person, my dearest heart.

Every year I love you, the more I love you, each year filling my heart up with joy of you, and at the same time expanding my capacity to love you. Each year I think, this is it, ‘this is what love is’, but the time passes, and I learn more than just more love, but better how to love you..

You are the most critical, wonderful puzzle of a person. I am happy with the knowledge that I get to spend my life unraveling the best ways to please you, the best ways to love you..

You are my dearest and best friend.

Happy Anniversary, my tigre, my heart, my love,

my husband.

Big Green, High Tea and the V files.

Had a nice weekend, Friday was anime over at the ’s we watched all of
R.O.D. - Read or Die
, which is beautiful, and quirky. and Ace were there too, which was nice.

Saturday, was a relaxing day, did some cleaning, went to see the Hulk. Which we enjoyed. I found the cinematic cuts to be a bit epileptic, but enjoyed the movie and effects. My husband raved about the movie, really enjoyed it. I love it when he’s happy.

Sunday, was busy, I got all prettified to go to the Smuga-Ottos’ high tea. I even wore a green dress, sandals and earrings! Somehow I ended up on time, which is funny, because I thought I’d be late, which was a pleasant change. I finally got to meet the famed Katya and Scott and their tiny new pixie, Valya, who was beautiful. There was ice tea, two kinds of bread, four or five kinds of cheese, melon, and one awesome fruit pie, and an amazing layered coconut butter cream cake (care of Jess). I think some sparkling cider also showed up, as well as many of our friends from the Friday night reading group crew.

So, we were full of goodies and laughter, and good company. We laughed at the strangely comforting heartbeat chair the baby was using, and talked about a variety of things from sci-fi, art, comics, college, anime. All in all a successful tea party. 3 cheers for the ’s for a grand time.

I took off about 4:30 and raced home to get ready for our Sunday night role playing. Jaz and Tammy showed up and we had a lot of fun. My gnome rogue finally made it to 10th level, and the session was mostly about her meeting her contacts for her prestige class. I somehow beat the odds by rolling critical failures 3 times in a row in a rather difficult series of acrobat moves, resulting in a fall from the ceiling 3 times in a row for my poor little gnome. 4th time’s the charm though… I wrote up how Vole was feeling after the game at Vole’s little mini-site, The V Files. It’s the last entry in the list. Felt really nice to do some creative writing.

PSO Wings!

Wednesday, June 18th, 2003

ooh, I hadn’t played Xbox in about 2 weeks, but heard there were new mech assault maps out, so I plugged in the box, d/l’d the maps and noodled around.

But, then I got an invite to go play Phantasy Star Online with Strider Jin, and I’m so glad I accepted.

Strider gave me some really cool weapons and slot items, and then, before he had to go, he gave me some new mags, one that looks like a master system, and one that looks like Devil Wings!

They’re so cute, they float behind my character, and flutter! I need to get a screenshot, but they’re sooo cool. I even spent the 10,000 meseta to change my outfit and color my hair to match better, so now I’m all purply, with purple pink wings, and

ok, ok, I’m a geek, but I can’t tell you how happy I am to have cute devil wings in PSO.

After Jin left, I randomly joined a game, and there were 2 people with angel wings and one with a tail mag, what an adventuring group we were!

heh.

Weekend, in brief

Friday, wandered the mall, bought season 2 Buffy DVD set at circuit city for 45$, after seeing that Borders was charging 62$…
Watched 4 episodes of Buffy, played with new art paper, sketched/inked basic sketch.

Saturday, slept way later than I wanted, watched husband play lots of Brute Force on Xbox. Chris came over and showed me Wario Ware, which I played on his GBASP for a couple hours. Game is addictive. Want it. Also, really wanting GBASP screen… might get a red GBASP when they come out. Ate yummy Penne Rosa with Tofu from Noodles and Co. At one point on Saturday, the three of us were all playing different game systems, in the same room. Carlo on the Xbox, Chris on his PSone with LCD screen, and me on the SP. geeks, we are.

Sunday, stupid scheduling mess. Did watch several more Buffy with Husband. Managed to visit with both fathers, miscommunicated with gaming group. no gaming. :( stressed about work to loving husband. Did get a call for Comic work at the smuga-ottos’s , which did improve mood.

Girly Gaming, Take 2

Wednesday, June 4th, 2003

Well, been sick on and off this week, which is just no fun. But at least allowed me to work from home a bit yesterday.

Was feeling better, and got to hook up with Tammy and Liz for our new Girly Gaming group. Woo! I think we’re really going to have an awesome time. This is Liz’s first role-playing game ever, and she’s doing awesome! She’s playing a halfling fighter, and is totally getting into it. Tammy is playing a Rashemi Wizard, and I’ve mentioned Mohna, my tiefling rogue/assassin before. Liz is working on her PhD here in town, studying some radical rhetoric. Also, Tammy had us over again for dinner, which was quite yummy, that girl can cook! Ok, sentences fragmenting, must add more exclamation marks… Yah! Girly Gaming!

Changing hosts for Metahari.com . Heidi suggested HasWeb. They’re cheap, have lots of options, and a cool feature called ‘fantastico’, come on, how can you not love a service that offers ‘fantastico’! It’s actually a feature that has a lot options to install other cool free php programs like b2, or pmachine, ect, with the minimum of fuss. Very nice.

Although, figuring out just what’s going on with my stableful of domain names has not been fun. Sometime between last fall and now, my account with godaddy has split in a strange fashion, giving me two accounts, and not letting me log in, or see important domains like quixotica.com. Ack!

I wanna call them and get things figured out, they were supposed to merge the account yesterday, but, no such luck/time.
