Friday we had wonderful breakfast at the Blue Plate diner, and headed out to Cedar Rapids for Anime Iowa.

Our Zine’s look great and we sold over 30!!!

We checked in and set up our table in the artist alley. We got to hob nob with lots of great artists, and friends from college (like Marshaus), and while we spent most of the time in the artist alley, I didn’t really feel like I missed too much.

I watched a tiny bit of anime, Please Teacher, but mostly just hang out with the gals from Kumate Works and Kim, Maciek, Ace and Jess .

What great people to spend my birthday weekend with. The art party was also awesome, several hours of jamming on impromtumanga, doodling, and talking to lots and lots of artists. Next year We are going to host the art party, we have all sorts of schemes…. mu ha ha.

Jess bought me a whole set of WALKING WIND UP SUSHI!!!! so awesome!!! and K&M helped pay my reg fee and took me out for lunchies.

*falls over asleep*

It’s early, watching my husband get ready for work. Excited about going to anime iowa. I haven’t gone for several years because it’s been on my birthday, or my husbands, and didn’t know who was going.

This year I’m going anyway, and shall greet the morning of my 25th year at the convention.
I know I’m going to have an awesome time! Whee!

Kim and Maciek are picking me up in about an hour, breakfast at the Blue Plate diner is in order, and then we’re off to Cedar Rapids. We’ve worked so hard to publish a zine for the con, it feel so good to have accomplished something awesome. I haven’t seen the printed out zines’, but they told me last night they were great.

I need to keep movin, packin. See you all Sunday night.

What I really want is an ibook! (12″ loaded), but that’s likely a way off.

What I’d really love/want/need is an Art desk. (and much more in a gift budget price)

9:17, 2 hours into my first day back from Mexico, and I just resorted to the cough medicine.

Good point, I am no longer coughing.

Bad point, I am a bit dizzy, and focus is slipping away.

Trying to stick it out, seeing as I’ve been gone for a week.

Mexico was a blur of mountains, people, family, Spanish, and heat. I promise to write more later. Also, filled up about 160 pics on my memory card, and took the 8mb with me too, so that’s another 9 pics or so. I promise to share some of them with you later.
