Good Day, Sunshine
Work:
I’m having a productive day today. Feels good to be improving the website. Tiny things, cleaning up little things. Things few people will recognize as changed, but changes that now make buttons in some areas act the same way as buttons in other areas.
Thank goodness! I’m keep all the navigation in one central place, so I don’t have to change 30 pages with a nav bar in them because a link changes.
Comic:
Last night, Studio Anti Thesis got together to make the final touchups for our new zine. This is really the best quality of my pages we can make. Pete tweaked some of the lower res scans and somehow made the linework highres again, and Kim shaded my early pages with the shades that I use in the later pages. I spent a lot of time going through and making them print ready, at Pete’s bequest. Taking out the fake screentones, as the printer will actually create something similar, and we don’t want any nasty moire patterns.
They really look good. We likely won’t touch these pages again, after we go to print, for a long time. I predict the next time we’ll even look at these files will be when the whole 32 pages of Tabloid are done, and we want to collect them into one ‘big’ book.
Family:
Tonight, I have birthday celebrations with my Mother In Law, and fam. Should be fun. Husband’s stepsister is also in the country tonight. (She works in Germany)
