Woo, I’m so excited.
Tonight I’m heading out to see Serenity with Studio people/ Book club people!! We used to watch firefly after book readings.

I’m also going tommorrow to the movie with my brother, coworker, and husband, and who knows who else.

All of you please go see the Serenity movie this weekend. As a personal favor for me.
Please! I love this series, and I’m sure I’ll love this movie. The more people who see it, the more likely the sequels are going to happen. Please, see this movie, so I can watch the sequels. ok, you can see them too.

We finally got to celebrate my husband’s birthday on wednesday, we went to Laredo’s. Carlo ordered in Spanish, which is always a learning experience for me. I still catch about 1 word in 3, but am a bit better following conversations.
There was a man with a guitar walking around, he sang Happy Birthday to Carlo, and a sweet song about love, and an amazing song called The Mariachi.
Then we got yummy enchiladas, and Carlo opened his presents. He got his Lovecraft book, a Farcry game and a racing game from us all. I also got him some funny Napolean Dynamite stuff like a patch and folder and ruler set that had stuff like ‘vote pedro’, or ‘give me your tots’ on them.

We were honestly too exhausted from our awesome trip in Seattle to celebrate on Tuesday last week, so we just extended things.

After the movie tonight, we’re planning on some late night comic work! It feels nice to be working on my comic again.

Copic markers, micron inks. Trying to have sketch characters focus on things.I’ve decided to make this 9/12 of my original illustration goals for 2005. At the end of 05, I can always reevaulate which pieces make the cut, but I’m pretty happy with the colors and pose here.Things I was concerned with in this pic. Focus of the character on something, and more expressive hands.I need to order some refills for my markers though, I’ve basically run out of all the light blues and lavenders.~~~Man, I feel like I slept all weekend.

Seattle was amazing. Ace and Jess’s wedding was amazing. I am so tired. I took a ton of pics, check them here.

Hey! Check this out, this is going to be a sticker we offer at Anime Iowa. Whee!

Ok, turned out I really had to take a half day today, but it really did help.

I got the proper undergarment for the bridesmaid dress from a shop that does custom fitting. Wow, I am totally going back for some other standard proper fitting girly type garments. They weren’t any more expensive than regular shopping, and the ladies there know their stuff, no more dejected bra shopping for me!

After that, I hit Famous Footwear, and while I Loathe shoe shopping, I quite easily found the shoes I need for Jess’s wedding, AND some kickass blue sandals that are amazingly comfortable and have a cute little asian print on the insole. AND it was a buy 1 get the second half off they are cute, and comfortable. yay! also, the whole thing took less than 10 min. fantastic.

Then I grabbed lunch at panera, where I sketched a little in my new sketch moleskin book, which is the perfect size for travel, and headed over to the alterations lady two hours early.

She was nice enough to see me early, and we determined that all the dress needs is some shorter straps, so doable in the next week.

I took the extra time to have my eyebrows done, so yay! I won’t be mistaken for a wookie at the convention next week!

Working on coloring a Mara sticker now, we made some prints last night, and will make me a few more on Tuesday. Things are going to be fine, I just had to take some time and deal with some of these time sensitive things
