WAHOO! Page 3 is inked!!!!

now to bed….

mmm, looks like the count for today… about 15 hours.

Woo, the nightly coffee run just delivered me a mocha latte with an extra shot of espresso!

Inks have touched 3 of 5 panels on page 3. A few details in those panels still need to be added. Panel 1 is only partially pencilled.

Carlo put panel lines on page 2, really helps define what’s going on.

Pete is here now, with his 20inch imac. woo!

We’re hoping to get the file set up in indesign tonight, along with some of the lettering as well.

Looks like deadline is tuesday…. eeee, so much coloring left.

oh yeah, and page 4…

Making good progress on page 3 pencils! This will be inked tonight.

Kim, Maciek and Pete are getting the printing ready for Tabloid/Merylion Issue 2.

Finished the page 2 inks just after 1pm. We had a birthday meal (grilled ribs!) for my brother over at Mom’s, so I haven’t spent as much time on it today.

Floundering, hope my second wind comes to aid me.

All panels inked on page 2, but panel 4. Trying to solidify the pencils on that panel before going to bed. Done a muchness of comics today. will follow this up with more comics tomorrow. But… hope to finish and ink this last panel tomorrow early, leaving me most of the day for page 3.

Really happy with how this is turning out.

Page 2 is about 3/4 inks. unfortunately, most of what isn’t inked hasn’t been pencilled completely. Still, very happy with what I have, and I don’t see any reason that I shouldn’t finish inks for page 2 tonight.

Carlo and Pete have run out for coffee, and hopefully chocolate.

i got up an hour earlier than yesterday to get started earlier.

Sounds like we’re going to have a marathon this weekend, as I finish pages 3 and 4, and start on the coloring of all 4. I think that between Pete and Carlo, they can handle flats, so I can concentrate.

Pete’s going to bring his imac too, so I don’t have to try to color all the pages on my ibook. Poor lil Kotoko can hardly handle the b/w work I usually do for Tabloid, and it’ll be nice to have the extra pixels to work with.

Got Carlo’s ok on the inks for page 1, so page one is inked!! woo

I have touched ink to page 2! though lots of it still needs to be penciled. I just didnt want to smear the happy pretty mid panel of the lower half of the page.

Almost finished with the inks for page one. Page two pencils have been started, with the most important panel about 50%.
Spent 8 hours monday, and about 7 hours tuesday. Excited about the writing. Carlo has been fantastic, doing the layouts for me in blue pencil. He also inked the layout on page one, though we’re thinking that we might prefer to do all layout lines in Indesign.

Page 2 is the busiest one, so I’m hoping to get a good chunk penciled today, and parts of it inked. Hopefully pages 3 and 4 wont take me as long.

I got up an hour early today, so I could try to get some things finished up on page 1 before lunch. I can’t seem to actually wake up though.

Hoping that listening to ‘Wicked the musical’ will perk me up.

Fresh off the 2 pages and a cover, I am moving on to 4 new comic pages that my husband has written for me.

Tonight, I am actually inking the first page! I’m excited about the pencils for page 2, which I’ll be starting tomorrow. It’s fun to do something different every once in a while.

Stay tuned this week for more progress updates, as I bring 4 pages out of the ether, and pencil, ink and photoshop them. wooo! I really need to get as much done this week as possible, because we’ll need to get the zine to kinko’s by next monday at the latest, really.

yay! Comics!

Whew, Cover finished, also done are pages 15 and 16, barring minor changes. tommorrow, on to 4 pages of new and different material. *snooze*
